The Canadian Centre for Substance Abuse provides treatment phone lines for each province and territory in Canada where you can find out about publicly-funded treatment services available in your area. These phone lines do not offer information on facilities that are only privately funded.
The Sunshine Coast Health Centre has a Directory of Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs for major cities and most provinces in Canada.
Ontario
The Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre provides expert navigation of the mental health and addictions service system for youth aged 13-26 and their families, who are living in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The Family Navigation Project will not provide the treatment itself, but rather will help to connect families to the most appropriate treatment resources available.
Parents’ Lifelines of Eastern Ontario (PLEO) provides support and information to parents and caregivers in and around Ottawa (the Champlain LHIN) with children, youth and young adults to age 24 who are facing mental health and/or addiction challenges and helps them navigate the system to find the right services.
Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinics. A RAAM clinic is a walk-in clinic that patients can attend to get help for addiction without an appointment or formal referral. RAAM clinics provide time-limited medical addiction care (including medications, brief counselling, and referrals to community services). Click here to find your local RAAM Clinic. Ontario Addiction Treatment Centres (OATC) has over 60 clinic locations in Ontario that provide medication assisted treatment like methadone and Suboxone. Counselling is also available at these locations and it is provided by another service provider.
